EdNC. Essential education news. Important stories. Your voice.

Wednesday, October 14, 2015

EdNC extends our thanks to Ed Croom for his public service to our students and our state. Croom is the superintendent of Johnston County Schools, the chair of the Low Wealth Schools Consortium, and serves on the board of EdNC. He announced his retirement, effective March 2016, on Tuesday at a school board meeting.

Don’t miss WUNC’s series on Perils and Promise: Educating North Carolina’s Rural Students.

These are the sources EdNC checks every day: The New York Times, The 74, Education Week, The NC Tribune, The Insider, The News & Observer, The Charlotte Observer, WUNC, WFAE, Brookings, Education Commission of the States, and DPI’s News. A cross section of diverse sources are checked weekly and monthly. If you have an article you think needs to be included, email [email protected].
