EdNC. Essential education news. Important stories. Your voice.

Monday, September 18, 2017

We were thrilled to be notified this week that First Vote NC has been nominated for a national Civvys award. The Civvy Awards are a national awards program designed to highlight organizations — including nonprofit programs to improve educational outcomes — that leverage collaboration as a key strength in building initiatives to improve communities. So proud of Hunter and the team!

Here is more information about First Vote NC and how high school civics teachers can sign up to participate in the election.

These are the sources EdNC checks every day: The New York Times, The 74, Education Week, The NC Tribune, The Insider, The News & Observer, The Charlotte Observer, WUNC, WFAE, Brookings, Education Commission of the States, and DPI’s News. A cross section of diverse sources are checked weekly and monthly. If you have an article you think needs to be included, email [email protected].
