Yesterday, State Superintendent Mark Johnson proclaimed October School Safety and Kindness Month in North Carolina. The press release says, “Inspired by the strength and resiliency of the students and staff of Butler High School after the tragic event on October 29, 2018, Superintendent Johnson and his team developed the NC Kindness Campaign as another way to emphasize kindness in our schools as an important component of school safety.” Here is the proclamation.
