Welcome to blitz! This week EdNC will visit our community colleges all across North Carolina.

EdNC’s blitz is an opportunity for us and for you to get to know our community colleges better — from where they are to who they serve to their leaders and the role they play in community and economic development across our state.

Please follow along our travels on Twitter @Awake58NC and Instagram @Awake58 in real time, using the #Awake58 hashtag. You can also text AWAKE to 73224 to follow along with us there.

We are deeply appreciative for the opportunity ahead of us. We must extend our thanks to everyone who is hosting us this week during a busy time for most of the colleges. And, of course, we are thankful to our friends at the John M Belk Endowment for their support.

Today, Ferrel will be at Wake Technical Community College, Caroline at Robeson Community College, Liz at Wilson Community College, Robert at Sandhills Community College and Johnston Community College, Molly at College of the Albemarle, Mebane at Isothermal Community College, Alex at Alamance Community College, Yasmin at McDowell Technical Community College, Adam at Gaston College, Nation and Bryan at Pitt Community College, and Analisa at Blue Ridge Community College.

On her way to Isothermal CC, Mebane will stop by West Forsyth High School for back to school, and to wish Stuart Egan a very happy birthday.

State Superintendent Mark Johnson will be in Holly Springs on Monday Sept. 27 to welcome students back to a new school year. Superintendent Johnson will be greeting students as they arrive at Buckhorn Creek Elementary School.
