Choose EdNC on Giving Tuesday! And applications for LENS-NC are due tomorrow!

It’s Giving Tuesday, and we would love for you to choose us, invest in us. We learned a lot from our recent survey on our impact, and we will be making changes as EdNC turns 5 in January, including a new website! 69% of respondents value our policy research most, news second, and stories of impact resulting from our work third. 64% of respondents discuss what you read on EdNC with your colleagues, 30% go on to apply new knowledge in your professional life, and 14% even change your mind because of our work! 72% of respondents strongly agree or agree that EdNC provides a comprehensive and neutral view of what’s happening in education across NC. You support EdNC everyday by reading and sharing our work. Please invest in EdNC today.

MDC is pleased to share about an opportunity for funding and participation in a learning and action network to advance learning on creating educational equity for young people with learning differences who experience further marginalization due to racism and/or poverty.

It’s called LENS – NC, which stands for Learning for Equity: A Network for Solutions.

Letters of interest are due at 11:59 p.m. December 4, 2019.  Please note that submitting a letter of interest is the preliminary step in applying to be part of the Network. Please direct any questions to edequity@mdcinc.org.

LENS – NC is seeking a mix of participants, including community-based organizations. Please share this information with other organizations in North Carolina that you believe would be interested.
